This award is made to individuals who have given
prolonged service to the FWFSA or to member Societies. Individuals
must have contributed to furthering the aims of the FWFSA. The award
may also be presented to restaurants, hotels, etc. that have given
excellent service over a period of time, to the FWFSA or a member
society. On the recommendation of the FWFSA Executive it may also be
approved for an individual outstanding function such as a banquet
connected to a National convention.
The Award criteria and procedures are:
1. The Federation’s Award takes the form of a
framed certificate. In the case of an individual who is a member of
an affiliated Society, the recipient may also receive a medallion
engraved with the name of the holder and the year of the Award.
2. It is awarded for meritorious service to the
Federation or the causes or arts which it espouses.
3. (a) The certificate states the name of the
recipient. In cases where more than one person honoured, the
certificate states the names or the persons with their positions or
titles.
3(b) When the Award is made in recognition of
the conduct of outstanding functions for The Federation of Wine &
Food Societies of Australia or one of its constituent Societies, the
certificate states:

The name of the restaurant
The name of the chef
A statement that the Award has been
presented in recognition of outstanding meals (or other
functions) and the date of such functions |
3(c) When the award is in recognition of
prolonged service to the Federation or one of its constituent
Societies, the certificate states:

The name of the chef (if applicable)
A statement that the Award has been made
in recognition of prolonged service and the time span of
such service. |
4. The Council may resolve to confer an Award.
5. Any constituent Society may make a
recommendation to the Executive for the conferring of an Award and
the Executive is empowered to make a decision on such a
recommendation.

shall only be made on the prescribed form which is available from
