Federation of Wine & Food Societies of Australia

FWFSA AWARD

This award is made to individuals/organisations who have given prolonged service to the FWFSA or to member Societies. Individuals must have contributed to furthering the aims of the FWFSA. The award is also presented to restaurants, hotels, etc. that have given excellent service over a period of time, to the FWFSA or a member society. On the recommendation of the FWFSA Executive it may also be approved for an individual outstanding function such as a banquet connected to a National convention. Details on how to submit an application is below the recipients list

For ongoing and distinguished service to WFS New South Wales.

The Award criteria and procedures are:

1. The Federation’s Award takes the form of a framed certificate. In the case of an individual who is a member of an affiliated Society, the recipient may also receive a medallion engraved with the name of the holder and the year of the Award.

2. It is awarded for meritorious service to the Federation or the causes or arts which it espouses.

3. (a) Organisations

The Award states the name of the recipient organisation. In cases where more than one person honoured, the Award states the names or the persons with their positions/titles.

When the Award is made in recognition of the conduct of outstanding functions for The Federation of Wine & Food Societies of Australia or one of its constituent Societies, the certificate states:

The name of the restaurant

The name of the proprietor or manager or name of the chef

A statement that the Award has been presented in recognition of outstanding meals (or other functions) and the date of such functions

3(a) Individuals

When the award is in recognition of prolonged service by an individual to the Federation or one of its constituent Societies, the certificate states:

The name of the recipient

The name of the Society

The name of the chef (if applicable)

A statement that the Award has been made in recognition of prolonged service and the time span of such service.

4. The Council may resolve to confer an Award.

5. Any constituent Society may make a recommendation to the Executive for the conferring of an Award and the Executive is empowered to make a decision on such a recommendation.

6. A recommendation from a constituent Society shall only be made on the prescribed form which is available from the Secretary, or by downloading a copy from the li9nks below

COST OF AWARDS

The Executive has determined that a nominating Society is to be responsible for all expenses attached to the nomination of an individual or restaurant.
